Job quality and methodology

MallardJobs publishes active roles for people who want to work with mallards, ducks, geese, and wetland organisations. This page explains what each listing contains, what MallardJobs does not infer, and what is involved when an application is submitted.

What a clear listing should contain

A useful listing should identify the employer and role, explain the work, distinguish responsibilities from requirements, state the location and work style, show the employment type and salary range, and provide a current publication status.

Current listing status

How to interpret information shown in MallardJobs listings

SalaryThe range recorded for that role; not an independent market estimate
Posted dateThe publication information recorded for the listing
ApplicationSent to the designated MallardJobs application inbox for the selected role after consent
SponsorshipNo paid ranking or placement is currently identified
VerificationNo separate independent-verification badge is currently claimed

What each listing includes

A role title, employer, location, work style, employment type, salary range, summary, responsibilities, requirements, category, habitat, and relevant species. A listing is information about a vacancy, not a certification or endorsement of the employer or workplace.

How search and sorting work

Search and filters match fields in the current jobs dataset. “Recommended” currently means the default listing order; it is not personalised and does not assess suitability. “Highest pay” compares the recorded minimum-salary field. There are no paid placements in the ordering currently shown.

“Newest” should use the listing’s machine-readable publication timestamp. A relative label such as “today” should not be treated as evidence of freshness without that underlying date.

Publishing standard

A listing should have a confirmed open role, accurate employer identity, location and remote eligibility, employer-provided compensation, real publication and expiry dates, and a complete description. Closed roles should be removed or clearly marked closed rather than left presented as active.

Applications

After explicit consent, the server validates the applicant’s name, email address, location, optional phone number and note, and résumé. It then passes those details to AgentMail, with the résumé as an email attachment, for delivery to the designated MallardJobs application inbox for the selected role. This does not claim direct delivery to the listed employer, and MallardJobs does not send the applicant a confirmation email or provide application-status tracking. See how application data is handled.

Updates and corrections

Listing details and dates should change only when the underlying role information changes. MallardJobs does not claim a monitored corrections channel until one exists. See the current contact status.

Evidence assets and calculations

The current-role snapshot publishes its exact sample, inclusion rules, deduplication method, posted-range calculations, limitations and downloadable source table. Its figures are listing-level observations, not market-wide salary claims.
